NFS Mission

The NFS goal and the therapists' life’s work is to make this world a better place, even if in small increments. If we help one person be even a tiny bit healthier, then their relationships will be healthier. That means their kids will grow up to have less childhood related trauma at their hands. That means their relationships and friendships will be better and those people may have one less traumatic argument. By talking one client through one conversation or writing one article or book that provides tools that avoids an argument with a loved one or ignorant comment directed at their spawn, we decrease the amount of discord and its related ramifications. As such, those around them will incur fewer micro-traumas, be incrementally healthier, and this will continue to ripple out. Thus, the world is incrementally better.

We cannot fix a damaged world and its broken systems, but we can help one person at a time. Hopefully, the ripple effect would be that each individual would then go on to help others or at least reduce the friction in the world. If everyone simply improved slightly, no matter how small the increments, the world as a whole would be a healthier place. If we can influence that upwards motion, then we've done our job.
